Oops! Someone splashed their blood all over these Project Origin screenshots

     First Person Shooter

Warner Bros. Interactive has just released some new media for its upcoming PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC title Project Origin and well ... I guess I'm not playing this game with my kid.

In this upcoming sequel to 2005's F.E.A.R., you'll play a Delta Force operative who -- instead of using traditional weaponry -- dumps buckets of pig's blood on his enemies. OK, that's not true at all. But what in the hell is going on in that screenshot up there? The average human has two gallons of blood in his or her body, and I swear what we're seeing is about 17 liters splattered all over the screen.

Project Origin is set for a fall release, and while it has yet to be rated by the ESRB, I have my suspicions it's not going to be E10+.

I wish I could top that. Maybe I should make a game in which all characters and their weapons are made of solid blood.

I think you are misinterpreting the picture. What we are actually seeing is a spillage at a jam factory, and this gentleman has slipped on a puddle of sticky strawberry goodness.

Was a 16 year old the art director for this game? I hope that blood is meant to be humorous, if so it works and well done.

This game keeps reminding me of Project Offset, wich is a game in progress I'm really looking forward to. Have you all heard of it? it has a webpage (www.projectoffset.com, says Cap. Obvious).

Why does the blood have to be humorous? I would like to have a game that was bloody like that; not that fake gears sh*t.

What's with every game developer thinking every game needs gallons of gallons of blood? What's next: Animal Crossing: Xtreem Dethmatch?

Actually, that could be awesome (Eat hatchet, Resetti!)

@Kiranio: There are two sequels to FEAR coming out, one is by the original guys who broke away I think, and one is by the people who stayed when WBI bought the rights.

That being said, I have no idea which is which... I would prefer continuity though..

Satifying head shots in MP perhaps?

I enjoyed FEAR but it was NOT scary by anymeans. Sure, I jumped once or twice but I was not looking over my shoulder in the dark like some SH games.

This looks very interesting but looks like they are straying from the "scary" aspect.
