Oooh: Life with PlayStation adds videos, trailers photo

If you're living your Life with PlayStation (god, that sounds douchey), your life will improve today, as the web content portal world view thing gets some new features today with its version 1.2 update.

Today, both video viewing and photo slideshows have been added to the portal. Folks in the United States have an exclusive feature. Oooh. If the name PlayStation Network Game Trailers Channel doesn't say it all, let me explain: This channel lets you watch game trailers, read information about the games, and actually purchase them, all without leaving the Life interface. Again, oooh. Nevermind that you could totally do all of this in the PlayStation Store.

If doing things the long way floats your boat, be sure to update today.

I tried this for a bit, but it seemed so worthless. I really don't think a photo viewer will improve the quality of what is essentially market research.

The only reason I use Life is for Folding@home. I wish they made F@H an individual program, I hate waiting for it to load up because it's a part of "life" now.

It's really selfish to want F@H as a separate program. Adding it as part of Life increases it's overall use. That's more important than your individual units folded, whatever they're worth to begin with.

I'm not talking about my stats. I'm referring to like a year and a half ago when it was it's own program on the XMB. This was before life existed. It came pre-installed then just as it does now, only faster to jump in and out of.

While I do run Life occasionally for Folding, I run it when I'm out and in Expert Mode, meaning all CPU resources are dedicated to Folding so I can't even access all this other stuff. It's probably the closest thing to the old Folding app.
