Online retailers list Singularity for June 29 release photo

Online retailers Amazon and GameFly have both listed a release date for Singularity, the Gravity Gun-flavored FPS published by Activision. According to these sources, Raven Software's latest title will be out on June 29.

This is the first sniff of a solid release date we've had for Singularity. The game was originally slated for early 2010, then got pushed back to March, and was again pushed back to June. Activision said it didn't want the game competing in already congested release periods, so one would assume that a Summer release will see the game gain some attention.

The title looks like it'll be pretty decent, if not outstanding. Anybody interested in picking this up?

Runs the risk of being gimmicky ala Fracture IMO. Looks pretty good tho. I need to see some more gameplay bids before I get off the fence...

I like the Soviet/sci-fi thing, and Raven makes solid games.

Also, do you people really hate Activision so much that you aren't even willing to consider a title that they're publishing? I get that Kotick is kind of an obvious dick, but if you want to start boycotting games by every company that's only interested in making money, you might as well just give up this hobby entirely.

Glad to know this game still exists.

I was afraid it would slowly fade into obscurity.

I was interested a long time ago. Now I could care less. I'll have gotten my fill of good games by June. Hell I'm already way behind as it is.

Hate to say it but the recent actions of Activision have really put me off, so much so that I'll be definitely be skipping this. Granted it wasn't really high on my must have list in the first place but I was looking into it somewhat.

Wait, guys, listen for a second.

If you don't buy an original IP from activision what is that going to tell them?

It's a bit of a lose-lose situation.

I have my doubts about Activision but this game looks fun in a 'not-so-serious' perspective

Is it sad that I thought this game had already come out and flopped?

Singularity was originally planned for Fall 2009, I thought, not early 2010.
