After launching without it (much to the dismay of many gamers), it looks like online cooperative play is finally coming to Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light for Xbox Live Arcade. Developer Crystal Dynamics has confirmed that the patch is hitting on October 27.Â
As we were told when we spoke with them a few weeks back, the first downloadable content back will be free, with the developer adding “thanks for your patience.” A patch for the PlayStation Network and PC version of the game is “coming later.”
Guardian of Light was one of my favorite games of the summer, even without online co-op play. I played through the game both single-player and couch co-op for my review, and I had a blast. But for those waiting to play with a friend online, this is great news.
