I'm not going to lie: I don't have much here. Disney Interactive literally sent me this one picture of the upcoming game
Alice in Wonderland. It looks great, though, and I felt it was nice enough to warrant a post.
Disney tells us that this screenshot is in-game art from the upcoming PC game, and it features a sneak peek of the Mad Hatter himself. Will Johnny Depp voice him? We'll see.
Look off in the distance: you can see a castle, and it looks like something is blowing in. Looks like this tea party is going south. You can't judge much from one shot, but this looks nice so far.
I don't know if one picture is good enough to hold you over until the March 2010 release date, but I'm sure we'll see more of the game before then. Rabbit: creepy much?

Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
But this does look nice. Maybe we'll get this version of Alice when KH3 finally shows up.
Then again it's been a while, so it could be time to re-visit it all and see if I "get it" now or whatever...
I am in the same boat as Daxelman. While I prefer this to be AM's Alice 2, this does have potential. It certainly looks nice.
Also, i dunno about this movie. Tim Burton's let me down so many times before, and the trailer didn't make me hopeful. This game doesn't look much better. It'll probably be as good as the potc games :s
We've been there; done that.
I'd prefer to see other artist's take on the tale, honestly. Or I'd rather see American McGee tackle a different story. (remember when he had plans to do Oz?)
As is the case with most unplanned sequels-without-causes, I believe that AMA2 may be a derivative disaster.
Thats exactly what i was thinkung, fable 2 engine!!
@Coletter B
you mean one sound of Mr Depp's voice ;¬)
I also have a deep loathing of this movie project in general. The 'lolBurtonDeppCarter!' train left my station a long, long, long time ago.
However I'm more interested in Marilyn Manson's movie about Lewis Carrol who wrote Alice.
Also @Fable 2 comparison in the comments... Fable 2 isn't the best looking game, but it pulled it off well enough. And it's simplicity was not as detracting visually as this one is. See...
Really, disappointing. The American McGee concept of an older Alice returning to a now more sinister Wonderland was a great idea. Now instead we get Johnny Depp in clown makeup. Pfft.
