I'm expecting many, many hours of enjoyment out of Gears 3. My friends and I still occasionally play Horde on Gears 2 and it's a blast.

I don't care about any of this - I know Gears 3 will be just as enjoyable, single player wise, as the other two:

@CO Jakyl I'm not normally a fan of the $60 price point, but Gears 3 is going to have tons of content. Between 4 player co-op campaign, "traditional" multiplayer, Horde and Beast Mode, I don't really mind if Epic wants to make some coin on clothing/accessories for my Gears of War Barbie. I'm not going to buy any skins, but I don't have a problem with them selling it.
@Magnalon: If the beta was true and what I'm hearing from people who have copies, the multiplayer is good this time. I'm hoping so, because I really don't want to have to go back to Gears1 every Friday night again till Gears4 comes out.
Don't know if it's a typo or if you dont remember very well but it's five on five not four on four. Also beast mode I heard was 12 rounds but I'm not to sure.

Unless they decided for some reason to make the game WORSE after the beta (instead of keeping it the same or making it better), I think we'll be fine :)

Ok seriously people need to stop acting like having a shared respawn pool is any different from say first team to 15 kills! it's the exact same thing!

Gears traditionally had a 1 life policy on its team deathmatch. Whilst you are correct that a shared pool.of lifes is nothing nee it is quite the departure from the gears standard hence the focus on the rule change.

Not quite. When your team is down to its last life in this game, that means there's only ONE player left on your team standing; all the rest are forced to spectate. In a normal, first-team-to-X-kills sort of game, each team has a full complement of players for the entirety of the match.

Hey guys. There are loads of skins that are unlockable through various ways in the game. There are also games that will come with upcoming dlc character/mission dlcs. Finally there will be skins that you can buy off marketplace. If you don't want to spend any money aside from the first 60 bucks, you'll still have a few different skins that you can use.
The Internet can be oh so painfully unfunny and predictable sometimes.

Hey Bro Dude, Speerbrecker ;) You have to play campaigns to really get "it". Sure, online play is whole lot of fun, but for me it was always the excellence of campaigns that brought me back to past two games, which i am replaying one more time befer Gears 3 hit the stores. They are awesome to play alone, and even more awesome i co-op. I am looking forward to Jims review.
