Our very own Brad Rice and Samit Sarkar have had their very own experiences already with MX vs. ATV Reflex, and when my turn to bat finally came, I wanted to make sure I had camera in hand to capture every single moment of what was guaranteed to be an amazing adventure in Las Vegas.
The fine folks over at THQ and Rainbow studios stuck me on a plane and flew me out to the Nevada desert and demanded I play MX vs. ATV Reflex. Besides all the cheap liquor, women and buffets, I nearly killed myself twice, trying to impress the locals with my newfound skills of riding an ATV, traversing the Nevada dunes.
No matter -- with "Vegas hunnies" to my left and Jager shots to my right, I had an amazing conversation with Art Director Ian Wood about high-resolution dirt and man-versus-machine control physics. General Manager of Rainbow Studios Nick Wlodyka shares the team's impressive 12-year resume and experience with the genre, making it perfectly clear why MX vs. ATV Reflex will always hands-down surpass the numerous prior imitations.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
Oh...and yeah- the pothole strategy seriously needs to be recorded if it works.
Add Dtoid and Light Blue shirts into the mix and they are my ABSOLUTE favorites.
Oh, and it needs more Unicorn sex.
