Destructoid is gaming news, community, videos, and sometimes love. Take the tour or jump in with Facebook:

We are gathered here today to set the record straight once and for all. You simply cannot run Gears of War on the PlayStation 3. Can't happen. No way. It would take the army of people at Epic (you know, that actually made the game) months and potentially millions of dollars to port it over to the PS3; as it's a completely different architecture. Some jerk at home with a camcorder is not going to beat Epic to a PS3 port and make Microsoft cry tears of non-exclusivity.

That said, Gears of War actually does run on every other console, though. You just need the right kind of mod. Please watch closely at the step-by-step instructions in this special report.

I'm still laughing! And how did you get Alvin to narrate?

But really, I think its funny how Sony has a notice that you need to put the disc in an Xbox 360 to play it. Is there a notice like that on the Xbox for PS3?

@ Poetic -- it's sped up on purpose, I speak way too slowly and bored myself. The song is "Samba de Janeiro" by Bellini, which was the flagship track on Samba De Amigo for the Dreamcast

Bonus points for the thing at the end with Niero looking all cool and DMV just sort of smiling awkwardly.

And while "Samba de Janeiro" was playing I had to fight the urge to shake my arms to the beat. I played that game WAY too much.
