Remember cashwh0re? Our tribute to great ethics within the video game industry was unfortunately missed by the above video (blasphemy!) but I'll let it slide due to this short trailer's otherwise absolute brilliance. An anonymous awesome person spliced together the trailer from Oliver Stone's JFK film with key moments from the firing of Gamespot's veteran reviews editor over the alleged bad review donkey-punching of Kane & Lynch, a game we gave an 11/10. I won't spoil it for you -- just flip play and enjoy the conspiracy. Never forget!

But the key issue here is: Gerstmann is/was a douchebag: his reviews were trite. I suspect he lost all of his "edge" over years with his bloated (read: lucky) job getting paid to review games.

Or another spin on it all: He was a victim of his own ego. He knew the score, how the industry works, yet I'm sure he felt that it didn't apply to him. I say this because if he really wanted to scythe the game, or any game he reviewed, he probably could have. I'm presuming he's capable of such.

So to sum up: He got shit-canned for making a trite review about a bad game which in all likelihood his "bosses" got paid to support.

My last thought: If he actually made a review with some "teeth", I might give 2 shits. About any 15 yr old could assert the same as him, and probably work cheaper.
