Olimar officially confirmed for Smash Bros. Wii U & 3DS

More HD Pikmin is a beautiful thing

Nintendo has confirmed that Captain Olimar will join the cast of the new Smash Bros. game, set to launch next year on the Wii U and 3DS. Not a whole lot of information was given outside of that fact other than a slew of screenshots, but it looks like Olimar will be up to his old Pikmin slinging tricks once again.

I'm not the biggest fan of Olimar's playstyle, but as long as the team can keep as many clones out as possible in favor of original characters I'm totally cool with it. I think Olimar was a fresh addition to the franchise, and he hasn't overstayed his welcome by any means just yet.
