Okami on DS and iPhone, the place where the game should have been ages ago, due to its touch/draw interface.
Yep, I'd buy that in a heartbeat.
Now, if Capcom could get Zack and Wiki on DS too, I'd certainly check that out.
But...why the hell would they make a sequel to a game that sold so shittily? It seems like sure fire way to go out of business.
I suppose if it's a DS game it would be pennies to develop though.
Remake God Hand instead you chumps!
I actually didn't like Okami. It was 60 hours of style over substance. Once they revealed that stupid twist about the demons' origins, I completely gave up on trying to like it.
I ponder deeply, "What if... Okami was made TODAY?" Would they be able to achieve this goal, if given the chance? $60 of mine is willing to find out.
I think you're confusing a quote by the Clover Team.
Originally, Okami was supposed to have lifelike, more realistic graphics (there are some pics and vids lying around somewhere), but the team found that they couldn't achieve the level of realism that they wanted on the system.
This is what led them to use the final art style that they did. I can't imagine anyone would think the game were better with traditional, realistic graphics, so I don't think they'd mess with the universally acclaimed awesome art style of the last one.
My guess is -if this at all linked to Okami- it's a hand-held game and it's about Amaterasu in the Shiranui era... Actually that's a game I'd honestly like to see.
A main console game not so much... Definitely no more wii-games. I just didn't like anything about the port except the ability to skip the story bits... Hell I didn't even like the way they muted the voices...
If Platinum Games wants to lower the rate of teenage suicide, they better as hell make a new Okami.
However, even with a list of pure awesome that long, Okami stands at the top, and anyone who doesn't think so can rightly go fuck themselves. That game is phenomenal. Admit it already.
It stands the test of time, even in 480i and 4:3 on the PS2. If it were to have the great fortune to receive a sequel, the PS3 and 360 is the place for it, leave the Wii behind already unless you feel like walking an already trodden path.
And everyone who played the PS2 version and the Wii version knows what I'm talking about.
