Oh WoW: BlizzCon 09 tickets will be available on May 16 photo

Ready your pocketbooks, Blizzard devout. You’ll need them come May 16. Earlier today, Blizzard announced that tickets to BlizzCon 2009 would go on sale on the aforementioned date for 125 real dollars. If you were lucky enough to be there last year, you’ve probably noticed the slight bump in ticket price. No big deal, though -- it’s not like any of you planning to attend the Blizzard extravaganza were going to spend the extra dough on a haircut anyway.

If you’re down with the event, here are the nifty details. On May 16, you’ll need to journey across the World Wide Web to this Web site and wait in a queue for your ticket. It’s that easy.

If you can’t attend but still want to score a glimpse at some hot Elven or Tauren thigh, then you could always order a stench-free feed of the event on DirecTV or stream it on the Internet for forty bucks. Groovy.

Why the hell does an internet stream cost $40? I love you Blizz but that's BS.

So, uh, can we pirate this internet stream? XD

Seriously though, I don't follow the price on conventions and all, but $125 is ridiculous. Unless like, you get a loooooot of nice loot, which I kinda doubt.

Isn't the admission price plus travel expenses equal to around that of a year of WoW? =P

My cousin in law works for blizzard, He is always trying to get me into WOW.

Said something about trying to get ozzy to preform at the event. I told my cousin that she better talk her husband to tell Blizzard that is bad fucking idea.

They could charge $500 and it would still sell out.

Blizzcon is all about the swag, nothing else. So that fee covers your freebies.

@Chronic Logic: If you are paying a fee to get "freebies", are they not then, by definition, free?
