We're not exactly sure when these LittleBigPlanet plus "some other game" mash-ups will start getting old. (Answer: Right about now, actually.) But we did think that this one that we found on LittleBigWorldshop was particularly appropriate for today.

While many of you are running off to the store to pick up your copy of Electronic Art's Mirror's Edge for your PlayStation 3 (or Xbox 360), LittleBigPlanet players have this. I mean, why buy Mirror's Edge at all when you have LittleBigPlanet? It's like the Swiss Army knife of videogames, isn't it?

But if you must decide, be sure hit up our LittleBigPlanet and Mirror's Edge reviews to guide you.

*sigh*

This game looks so awesome, but I can't bring myself to buy a PS3 just for one game.

Someone's a douche :P

It will only get old after a Metroid level appears.

I totally had this idea, but this is a billion times better than what I would have done.

Which I have to add would just consist of crappy stickering and poorly designed structures. Also, red.

Pretty cool. Is it just me, or is the only thing missing from LBP to make it a killer app is the ability to design villains to murder and otherwise blow shit up?

Y'know what, it's actually very well done, I thought the whole speed and momentum aspect that ME does so well would be lost in this level, it's not, it's actally decently paced, and does not 'drag' or slow down that much.

Bravo for whoever made this level, they kept the sense of speed from their source largely intact.

All that's missing now is a First person perspective. ;)

* This video is old.

What is missing in LBP is a decent search. A search that show the exact words that you put. A search for today video, more played etc. And be more fast indexing level. Itīs tooking two or three days.

Looks cool if it looked actually playable, without continuously missing all the ramps etc :)

I said it once, and I'll say it again: originality is dead.

Remember that car ad from a few years ago that was essentially a domino rally out of car parts. Someone should make that in LBP.

I think Niero brings up a really good point. God knows there is more to games than killing things (or so I've heard, heh) but sometimes... it just feels good damn it.

Eh, annoying level. Didn't see the point of the stupid ramps if you couldn't jump off 'em easy (they're slippery for no reason).

Have you played the "Gradius" level yet? The japanese one where its like a space shooter? Now that one is awesome. But er... not better than the real thing.

I like this level. Took me a few times to get through it, but it was a fun play. I still go back to it from time to time.

So, now we have seen "Mirror's Edge" in "Portal" and "LBP."

Will "LBP" ever see "Portal"? Will "ME" on the PC see "Portal" or "LBP"? Am I insane?

BTW Niero, you can design villians and blow stuff up. I own the game and I haven't even scratched the surface of the creation tool yet because I've been too busy beating all the MM's levels on 100% to take advantage of all the creation freebies. Granted, it still is a "family" game but, you can most certainly make a more gory sadistic level. I've already seen many a more rated R haunted house style boards in addition to a "SAW" board. So, it really is infinite in possibilities. Especially when they update the firmware with the image capture tool (allowing you to use images from internet, etc..) that's only going to make it more ridiculously creative. I just hope Sony SCEA doesn't ruin it too much by deleting everybody's slightly "copyrighted" material usage. Heaven forbid if someone wants to promote someone else's game or re-live one like Super Mario.
