Oh no you didn't: Majesco announces Drama Queens for Nintendo DS photo

Believe it or not, this is a game for Chad Concelmo. You may be wondering why I would compare a DS game for girls to the esteemed dolphin master, but allow me to explain: one of the objects of this game is to gain BFFs and steal BFFs from your opponents. You know what a BFF is, right?

Drama Queens is a virtual board game in which you play one of four girls, avoiding deadly "Drama Spaces" on the board as you make your way around trying to balance your friends, boyfriends and work life. Your goal, of course, is to become the most popular girl. Should be a snap, right?

Coming out this April, Drama Queens is either the most unintentionally hilarious thing I've ever seen or the exact game that I do not want my fictional daughter to play. Not that that says anything about its quality, mind you: it sounds like it could possibly be a fun game for young girls, but the moment my daughter starts wearing pink and clawing her way to the top of popularity contests, I'll throw her out a window. And her little dog, too.

Chad is gonna be one happy camper when he sees this.

Also this is gonna give a lot of young female gamers a rather negative message.

The concept makes me sad.

As far as games for girls, what we need is Love and Berry for the DS localized. I want to use my cards on my DS. :(

Seriously, this should be mandatory reading for all!

I'm with -PL-. They need to make a "real" get to the top tween game.

Really though all this is going to do is scare parents even more into thinking their daughter is a demonic fornicator.

I think that it will hit too close to home for a lot of the target audience. I also think that it could be a very well-disguised satirical tool if the expressions on the characters are exaggerated enough.

@The-Excel,
agreed, this sounds like a big sarcastic joke rather than something serious. It's called "Drama Queens", for God's sake. If this doesn't turn out to be pure awesome, it will end up being pure fail.

@glandseck:
Most self-proclaimed "drama queens" take the moniker seriously. They have no time for games, especially video games. Forgive the expression, but it's going to tank if there isn't something in it relevant to the internet's interests.

Just fall on your back and spread your legs to any guy who comes along. You'll be the most popular girl in school in no time.

An important lesson for all the impressionable teenage girls from Tet.
