There are three truths in life -- death, taxes, and a God of War sex mini-game.
But according to the game's director, Stig Asmussen, Kratos almost didn't get down with a little bump n' grind in his latest adventure on the PlayStation 3, God of War III.
"I was like, 'I'd rather not have it in there at all,'" Asmussen told UGO, explaining that there was an internal debate over whether or not to include one. He says he wasn't sure if there was a point in including it, despite its "popularity" in previous games, where it was include to show that Kratos was a "man's man" that gets what he wants. That point was obviously found for the third title; the final version does include a sex mini-game.
"It's not just you going in there, finding some corner and having sex with somebody. It's something that guides you through the story. You get information more than just a fluff moment," he explains.
If the sex is as epic as the game's first 30 minutes, gamers are in for a real treat. Read Chad's impressions of the game's opening sequence (spoiler: he really liked it), and check back next Monday, March 8 at 12 PM EST for my full review.
God of War 3 Game Director Wanted to Leave Out Sex Mini-game [UGO]
The best part about Chains of Olympus was tapping Circle and rubbing the Nub in time with the offscreen moans, after all. I'm sure it'll be no different this time around!
Okay... I was sold back in November when I played the E3 demo (thanks God Of War Collection!) but now like...
DOUBLY SOLD.
GTA got shit for including a sex mini game.
But GoW would get shit for not including a sex mini game.
What kind of world is this?
If it would make you feel better, I can tell you how AWFUL it is, and that I'm having the worst time of my life. But that's embargoed.

Not that I minded them anyway.
.....boobs.
That seems like the popular thing right now with video games.
This post reminds me I still need to buy this game too?! Damn, March is going to be an expensive month!
I lul'd.
Oh yeah, they already done that.
Even in most sex scene on tv, there's no schlong penetration, which is clearly what they are scared of.
Sex for the sake of sex in this mythology universe, is in context, as ancient greeks were always up for some. Doing so in GoW 1 and 2 makes sense in this regard as sex is a good stress releaver (refuel/replenish energy). If Sony are trying to tie that into the story, I'm not so sure about that (I'd have to pay it), as it feels like they are ashamed of having it in the game.
Next on the news, Tecmo in voyeurism controversy. (Bizarre differing attitudes, indeed)
