Oh, MMO players: World of Warcraft fan stabs friend in PC volume argument photo

It would almost be worth making a regular feature on the kinds of crazy antics that MMO players get up to. I don't want to generalize, because there are a lot of sane MMO fans out there. So, while I'm not suggesting that all WoW players are psychos, one cannot deny that they make the best psychos.

Zhenghao Shen, 21, an Australian student and World of Warcraft player, has been charged with intentionally inflicting grievous bodily harm after almost cutting off his friend's finger in a stabbing incident. He avoided theft charges because his victim was not carrying any loot at the time of the stabbing.

Shen was playing WoW with four friends at another's house when the argument blew up. In court it was claimed that the fight occurred due to a disagreement over the volume of another man's computer. Naturally, a chef's knife became involved as Shen stabbed his pal in the head, leaving a gash, and was close to taking the finger.

Shen has been refused bail. I would have made another WoW joke at this point, but I only know enough about WoW to make tired old loot gags, and I played that card earlier in the post.

"the fight occurred due to a disagreement over the volume of another man's computer"????

The hell? Like the math equation? Rectangular prism = a*b*c? They were fighting over a computers volume? I'm confused.

I'm more impressed that he managed to fail so hard at stabbing that he ended up cutting.

It's a good thing Shen didn't play as a rouge, otherwise the guy might not have survived.

if he stabbed someone over the loudness of a fan in a pc then he would've made love to my body.

I'm pretty sure they're referring to the volume of the PC's speakers, not the size of it's partitions.

However, if that is the case, then this is the best nerd stabbing event evar.

Gotta keep those chef knives at the ready whilst raiding. You'd be crazy not to.
