Oh Japan, you and your child molesting: Disturbing Wii game is disturbing photo

I'm surprised it's taken this long, but here's the first "erotic" adventure game for the Wii. Cleaning Squadron Clean Keeper is a rather tame dating sim, but in true Japanese fashion, it just has to be that little bit disturbing. The game features a cleaning section in which you scrub dirty anime girls with a fan, feather duster or a whip (?) while they lounge about in erotic poses.

Yeah ... shame they look and sound no older than ten years old.

I don't know what it is with Japan and the thinly veiled pedophilia, but they do seem to love their games where you can feel up little girls. Now hey, if that's their bag, then fine, I'm not about to oppress a man's desire to grope cartoon children -- but boy am I glad that some Japanese stuff stays the Hell in Japan. Seriously, anybody who wouldn't feel creepy playing this is a very warped individual ... wonder if they have review copies going?

Hit the jump for some incredibly ... incredibly annoying trailers. You have been warned.

@Bioautoraphical
I think I've sufficiently clarified my position with regards to Jim's article above.

Jim, first you censor illustrations of questionably-aged girls, next you're calling for the ban of rap music, donating money to Iran, and wondering if Hitler was really "that bad of a guy". This is how Thompson got his start.

You're all overly sensitive little girls, an analogy that carries way more weight in a topic about loli games.

I stand by my "let's be holier than thou" grumble and tack on a "well let's just ban all renaissance art from DToid!" sneer to go with it. Seriously.

I hope all the complainers are happy now and go back to their little plastic bubbles. In the immortal words of Mr. Sterling, "Cunts".

I don't care if people want to wank to anime kids. It just makes me concerned about what else those people wank to, and what else they might be willing to do. There's the...

Shit. "There's the rub." Nevermind.

It's hard to take any complaints against a game like this seriously when the same people turn around and profess the virtues of a game series like Grand Theft Auto where killing prostitutes or the local cop is the order of the day. If you start drawing a line, you have to make sure to stay on one side of it and not just switch sides when it suits.

Is it Pedo, if the character your playing as in the game, is the same age as the girls?? Hmm...

Phoenix Gamma: I think you're the one being sensitive here. Again, nobody called for a ban on it. Stop being overly dramatic and whiny because someone said something about Japan. I've already made my stance perfectly clear -- I think it's creepy and this undercurrent of little girl fantasy in Japan is quite disturbing. If that makes me a "little girl," well put me in a dress and have a Japanese man feel me up.

SubOrbital: So, if there was a videogame where you could rape kids, would you not find that disturbing because "zomg GTA exists."? Your logic is completely fucked up and stinks of strawman.

Any wanking to drawings is weird to me already. Throw some children in the mix and you've bought yourself a one way ticket to Hell.

How do people make those games? I mean think about everything that goes into these things. You have the animators having to draw partially naked (or naked) little kids in sexual situations. You have the people having to plan the whole game which means they're having to come up with all this crap. You've got the voice actresses reading out the lines. The programmers who have to come up with the virtual molesting mechanic. I mean, how do you work on something like that without, you know, being really into what you're doing?

Is this worse than say... virtually KILLING somone? I do it all the time in video games (and BTW it's something I truly relish). I'm sure a lot of you share my lust for simulated violence. We take it for granted but when you think about it it's fucked up too. Can you imagine if someone who had never seen a video game saw you "tea-bagging" some guy you just shot in the face?

Does saying, "yeah but I'd never do it in real life" make it OK? I don't think it does. So, I can't really judge someone who gets off on this stuff.

I also can't really judge Japan as I live in a sexually repressed society that is obsessed with violence (America). Maybe that repression just manifests itself differently here. That is to so say sexual frustration leads to simulated violence.

And really, so many awesome, non-perverted things have come out of Japan. I do not care to count how many great games i've played that DON'T involve molesting kids. Let us not base our opinion of them solely on this kind of thing.

Also, cocks.

Fuck what everybody is talking about- that is a great episode of Father Ted you have posted. It is sad that the show had to end so quickly. Dermot Morgan was a very funny man who died too young.

Cheers!

Yes it is. Sex and violence may often be blended together, but they are two very different things. Aside from the fact that simulated violence is a part of natural human aggression, you can't mean to tell me that if you discovered a load of loli porn on your Dad's hard-drive, you wouldn't find him the least bit creepy. You're lying if you think that.

Like Sharpless said, it makes you wonder what else someone'll jack it to if they think drawn kids are hot.

To put it another way, I can kill someone in a video game, but I don't think I would ever be able to kill anyone in real life (barring any future post-apocalyptic nuclear holocaust-type scenarios). But if someone wanks to drawings of kids, whether you'd like to admit it or not, that's a lot closer to wanking to actual pictures of kids, and it's probably not even that far removed from actual, er, hands-on pedophilia.

The jump from one thing to the other is far less, for the latter.

Can I beat them with a pipe and then run over them with a car after I rape them? If I can't then I'm not interested.

Moral high horse.

I love how we all call BS on the banning of Manhunt 2, and champion free speech; but we suddenly turn into Bush's cabinet when there's an ero game with (I'm assuming) no simulated sex.
Of course, I do NOT want to be next to the creepy salaryman playing this on the train, but hell, I WILL respect his right to own it and play it.

SourGr8pes:

How many more times? NOBODY has called for it to be banned. I actually think Manhunt 2 is pretty creepy and shit as well, but I respect its right to exist. Same with this. It harms none, so it can do as it will, but seriously, that's not going to stop me judging someone who plays it. You're lying if you think you won't alter your opinion of someone who gets off on this shit.

just remember this, they have games where you can rape girls, even ones of young age, but on average you can count the number of rapes that go down throughout the entire country on one hand.

Now lets look at a country that has no rape games, which one is better?
