It's been a long time since we've heard anything about the ReBoot reboot. Well, there's a teaser now and this should make fans of the old series very happy. The movie is being worked on by Rainmaker Entertainment, who used to be called Mainframe Entertainment. That's right, the same studio that worked on the original series is behind the revival of the franchise.
According to the YouTube page hosting the video, we can expect the movie to come out sometime next year. We're going to be getting in touch with Rainmaker Entertainment and see if we can dig up more information on what the reboot of ReBoot entails.
Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

This is very exciting news! I still have the PSX game sitting on my shelf. Now if this comes out soon and they release the show on DVD again I'd be one happy camper.
omg Ctz!! I'm so excited for this! Reboot is pretty much what inspired me to do what I do now for a career. Mainframe was such a revolutionary company for it's time, and in the heart of Vancouver :)
I just hope they don't try and make it darker or too vastly different from the original. Just modernize it a bit, give it a fresh coat of paint, and that's it. That's all it needs. If Bob is a woman or something silly like that I'll be annoyed.
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes! I remember watching the first four seasons and being *incredibly* angry at them for discontinuing the series. Hopefully with a movie we may get some closure.
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
I hope they handle the rebo- reimaging well, even though it's a shame the story was left in a cliffhanger last time.
Well my day has just been made.
