I get bored of light gun shooters rather quickly, but I've always had a soft spot Sega's arcade game Brave Firefighters. It used a hose peripherals that you would aim at the screen to put out blazing fires, and yes, it was ridiculous.
While I gave up on waiting for such peripherals to come to consoles, it does look like I'll be getting close with the Epicenter Studios-developed Real Heroes: Firefighter for the Wii. The game will have you waving the Wii Remote to aim your hoses, swing axes, and tear through a burning building with a chainsaw. I'm sweating just thinking about it.
If this sounds like your kind of thing -- and you can keep yourself from volunteering locally -- Real Heroes: Firefighter is scheduled for a Q2 2009 release.

I'm gonna say it...that's a fucking dead baby.
I was entranced by this game when I played it in the arcades back when i was a kid, and I was mildly amused when I saw the headline, but now I realize I have to pay money to play it...so fuck that.
Oh snap.
Now if they can get around to remaking The Grid for the Wii I'm set for life.

Oh, well. Might as well go back to "Saint's Row 2" until "MadWorld" comes out.
That game is alot of fun at the Arcade. However I played house of the dead on wii and while its still good times, the Arcade version is much better because of the light gun. The zapper cant replace the light gun. And this game I think will suffer from the same thing, It just wont be as good cause you wont have that fire hose controller.
