Oh God: God of War: Chains of Olympus delayed photo

The bad news is that there is a delay for the release of Kratos' PSP debut, God of War: Chains of Olympus. The good news is that we now have a solid release date. Sorry, I know that doesn't help much.

GameSpot found out during a visit to God of War: Chains of Olympus developer Ready at Dawn's offices that the release date for the game has been moved to March 4th, 2008. No price or rating has been given.

Those of you still looking for your demo disc (you signed up, didn't you?) will be pleased to know that you'll receive a special-edition demo UMD containing a portion of a playable level as well as additional content, including a behind-the-scenes video of the game's development. GameSpot says to look for this at the end of September.

This good news should help take away some of the sting.

[thanks, JV]

I remember signing up for that disc now that you mention it, although I also remember it mentioning something along the lines of "entering" to get a demo disc. I wonder if everyone who signed up will get one.

Really? A behind-the-scenes video? Now we can see why this game was delayed!

Meh, I'll take it.

I hope Sony won't be all sneaky requiring you to update your firmware just to play the demo or even worse-- the game itself. I can't part myself with all the cool apps I have on my little gadget. Sony should get their shit together and decide on what their gonna focus on with the PSP.
