I hope they do the historical value of the euro justice and make it 250 euro/ 300 euro in the Eurozone but knowing nintendo this will not be the case.
The deluxe set will also give you points for buying digital content, which can be used to buy stuff.
Pretty much what I was expecting. I bet if they chucked out the tablet controller they could've easily matched (or beat) current prices (for the PS3/360) and cleaned up LARGE.

299 is the price of the system, and its good enough. 250 would of been better, but 299 is not outrageous
Wow, Nintendo didn't learn a damn thing from the 3DS launch. That price point is going to hurt them, especially since the bundle with an actual game and decent amount of memory is $350.
Considering the high price point and the fact there isn't really anything I want to play when the system launches, I believe it will be at least a year until I pick one up.

Seems a bit high. I think a 250/300 split would've been more in-keeping with expectations. Still, seeing what happened with the 3DS, I wouldn't ignore the possibility of a $50 price drop next year. That's the great thing about starting high.. you can always go lower.
Still, I will pass. I'm honestly not even sure if I'll buy a console this generation. My PS3s (yeah I have two of them) and my Wii basically just collect dust. I'm 95% PC gamer now, and I just need to accept that.

Yep, Deluxe for me. I was hoping for a $250 basic console, but that was wishful thinking honestly. Still seems fair.

Until they show me some first party games other than mario or third party exclusives that dont rely on multiplayer to make use of the system Im going to wait on this. Show me a metroid, fire emblem, f-zero, star fox, and/or kirby. I need to see something really exciting to get me to buy another machine

Would I like 250? We all would. In fact, I could go for a nice, free 250 duckets right now! But, 300 ain't so bad for the console itself and an extra 50 for a game, 4x the memory and charge stations is a steal.
