I love Oddworld, adore it even, but Munch's Oddysee is... well... it's just not that good. In fact unless you play the PC port it is actually too hard to control to be fun.

I'd rather get a new Oddworld than an HD port, but hey at maybe this will do well enough to consider making a new one.

No Xbox 360 makes me so very sad.

I bought the Oddboxx on Steam a while ago, but Munch's Oddysee and Stranger's Wrath crash after about five minutes.
So I got Stranger's Wrath on PS3 and am loving it. I'll definitely get Munch as soon as it comes out.

Thought it was the third chapter of the pentalogy. Unless Oddysee and Exoddus are considered halves of the same chapter.

It makes Oddworld Inhabitants sad too. Microsoft is blocking this and Stranger's Wrath HD, and will likely continue for the foreseeable future for reasons unknown.

Remember renting it years ago but I never finished it. Good thing that I complete the oddworld collection of games without resorting to that hideous thing they released on steam.

The only good thing about Munch's Oddysee is the fart button.

I have been waiting for a sequel to this game for a monkey's age. Loved it on the ol Xbox. Maybe I'll have to snap this up as a hold over.

@mavhun Sadly that will probably never happen, as OI apparently lost the source for them.

Plus, I disagree, all Oddworld games are the good ones. Even though Munch may have shitty controls.

This is the worst Oddworld game; and I'm a big fan of the series.

Are they ever going to make a new Oddworld game...? I couldn't care less about some mediocre last-gen games. Give us a game in the style of the PS1 ones, not some failed experiment rehashes. Lazy.

Aww, the radiation from the HD-ifying process has given poor Munch a brain tumor. Better buy this to give the poor thing one last moment of glory before the cancer takes them.

That's probably because a fresh sci-fi FPS was a much more interesting prospect than a cancelled PS2 game running on an Xbox. Ironically, Oddworld Inhabitants actually spent more time cutting content out BECAUSE MS wanted it as an exclusive launch title. :P

While Abe's Exoddus is canon, it's essentially just an expansion pack to Oddysee and not part of the intended Pentology.

First they said because both games exceed the 2GB limit, then Just Add Water said they can work around that, and now apparently the requirement is that the original version must have a minimum aggregate of 80% in review scores (yet the Xbox version has 88 and the PSN version has 82)
TL;DR - Microsoft being jerks.
