Why is there a Futurama video above? Because the feeling that Fry and the gang are having when they learn that they are to be killed by snu snu is the exact feelings you should be having when reading that headline. First there is sadness from learning that we will not be getting a new Oddworld any time soon, then there is joy from finding out that the classic games in the series will be landing on Steam this year.
Series creator Lorne Lanning delivered the depressing news that the long teased fifth game in the series was put "on the shelf." He continued, "There's a lot of shakeup going on [in the gaming industry], and in that turmoil, we didn't really want to put the Oddworld brand out there in the middle of it."
To bring you back up Lanning also said that the Oddbox will be landing this year on Steam. Oddbox collects the franchise's four console games into one package, and is the first time PC gamers will get a chance to play two of them.
