I'm a pretty big graphics whore, completely giving up on ff7 maybe 10 minutes in because it looked like garbage, but I will gladly play OOT over and over. I don't know why that is. Maybe I'm crazy?
I also prefer Majora's Mask to OOT, so make of that what you will
Having recently played OOT and having a DSi XL has done wonders to save me from jumping in on a 3DS.
I didnt play OOT until last year on a gamecube and I found it fantastic ( Im 22 by the way )
But oh no the graphics! Fuck off and read the review scores you munts.
But i just have to disagree. I'm a complete Zelda fanboy and even I can see that the water temple is a glaring problem with the game. It stopped so so so many people from completing an otherwise brilliant game.
Nintendo is known for their ingenious level design, but they made that water temple just too intricate. if that difficulty fit with the flow of the game, I wouldn't even mention it, but it was a complete fastball and it clearly affected Zelda titles for years for come, causing much more *overly* linear/simple/ level designs.
A Link to the Past is a much better game, nearly perfect.
I....really don't understand these people. I never play with the 3D off unless I'm too lazy/tired to hold the system directly in front of me. It helps immerse you into the game world, and even helps you make split-second decisions faster when they're based on depth. People who grab a 3DS and immediately turn the slider down baffle me.

They're likely the people who either hate the idea of 3D (which I can understand for movies, but so far for the 3DS it seems a lot better) or whose eyes get hurt by 3D.
What annoys me, though, is that nobody who reports on the 3DS seems to mention that your eyes /can/ get used to it. For me, it was like getting a new prescription for my glasses/contacts. It still strains my eyes a tiny bit, but it's not bad enough to be too bothersome, and I bet I'll get used to it easily.
