OOT I have yet to beat on N64, It doesn't have the nostalgia factor for me like it does with most people. I've tried numerous times and I always start and stop in the same place.
Will the ceiling of the Temple of Time in the Chamber of the Master Sword still not render until I enter the room?
Can I still make unbreakable Deku Sticks?
Or all the sequence breaking glitches?
That stuff was the coolest part of the old OOT.
I don't know about that. As sure as this is a testing grounds for new, portable 3D Zelda adventures, I wouldn't be totally opposed to some other Zelda ports. -When- it sells well, Nintendo could churn out some ports while we wait for something original.
I wonder how well they could get Wind Waker to run on the 3DS...
I have however played every console Zelda since OOT to completion, along with Minish Cap (which was AMAZING). Somehow OOT just never grabbed me.
Can't I just register my name as Zelda to unlock the thing? :P
Ocarina was fun for a while, but it can't hold a candle to the earlier games in the series.
That's stupid.
One: you guys should try to post comparison screenshots of the original versus the 3DS version. It'd be a lot more convincing than just saying it looks better.
Two: Perhaps this is just me, but I have no problem using 3D during Face Raiders; why would I need to turn it off for aiming as well?
Grapple + Horseback = Fly!!!
Tilt cartridge up slightly + walk around guy blocking exit from village = Skip first dungeon and start the game without sword etc..!
I hope I'll get myself 3DS when Ocarina comes out.
Also:
I'm currently selling my kidney, so if you need one - let me know. It's $450.
The jaggies are nearly unavoidable. The 3DS isn't really that powerful, and certainly isn't powerful enough to run a "real" antialiassing solution. You have to be really creative to come up with decent AA on such weak hardware, when even console games don't recieve AA.
