To this day, no videogame soundtrack grabs me like Donkey Kong Country 2 does and always will. I spent the majority of my childhood playing this game, attempting to figure out its vast library of secrets without the aid of an FAQ or game guide. Needless to say, its incredible music has stuck with me.
I can listen to the music, close my eyes, and see the game -- see Crocodile Island -- as I imagined it to be as a kid; that's the power of nostalgia. OverClocked ReMix just released "Donkey Kong Country 2: Serious Monkey Business," a free collection of 30+ tracks -- they even got David Wise (DKC2's composer) involved.
Hearing all of these classic songs reimagined is like a dream come true. Huge thanks to the guys and gals that worked on this project are in order. It's absolutely a must-download for fans of the series.
Grab it here. For those who have given the album a listen already, what's your favorite track? Mine is "Rare Respite" by Patrick Burns.

1 vs. 100 for Xbox 360 was a delight, plain and simple. I know I'm not the only one who would like to see it return or, at the very least, see Microsoft introduce more game shows that tap into the Xbox Live user base.
