Obsidian helping develop an MMORPG where you play as gods

10:30 AM on 03.20.2014

My.com is a newly launched subsidiary of Mail.Ru Group that's working on a number of game projects, such the just announced MMO Armored Warfare, and MMO racer World of Speed. Another new project on their plate is Skyforge, a sci-fi fantasy MMORPG being developed by Allods Team in collaboration with Obsidian.

The goal of Skyforge? You need to become a god. You start off as an immortal warrior, and as you go on your various journeys you will amass a following that will eventually push you into becoming a god. One thing that I like that Skyforge is doing to set itself apart is mixing both the sci-fi and fantasy aspects into one thing. You can get a good sense of the visuals and aesthetics in this debut trailer.

I'll have some hands-on impressions for you soon, otherwise you can check out the Skyforge website to learn more about the new title.

Review: Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc was an intelligent riff on the perils of high school -- you know, if you had thrown a murder mystery in between classes and the principal was a maniacal stuffed animal. Its sequel, Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair, takes a beleaguered trope and turns it on its head. This is one "trapped on a desert island" story that takes things to another level entirely.more

Dio in Skyrim: Part 3 - Don't "Taco" To Strangers

In the third part of our ongoing investigative series on what it would be like if heavy metal pioneer Ronnie James Dio was, in fact, a mage in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In this installment, we forget more lyrics, and Max's girlfriend gets home from work, only to find a very special surprise waiting for her. Is it tacos? (Yes. That's exactly what it is.)more
