As much fun as the never ending political bickering has been lately, I'm kind of ready for it to be over for a while. Something tells me though, that it's going to get a whole lot worse before it gets any better. At least we have videogames to help us bury our heads in the sand, right? Here, let me just boot up Madden NFL 13 and -- Oh my God, what the hell is that

Players in battleground states can expect to see dynamic advertisements, like the above Obama campaign ad encouraging voter registration, to appear across Electronic Arts' console, mobile and casual lines in the weeks leading up to November 6th. According to the publisher, Ohio, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, New Hampshire and Virginia are among the states to be specifically targeted.

It's a strategy that's worked for the President before. Four years ago, the then Democratic nominee took advantage of early voting states by purchasing virtual billboards across 18 EA titles to connect with gamers. EA conducted surveys indicate that after seeing the ads gamers were 120 percent more likely to feel positively toward the candidate and 50 percent more likely to consider voting for him.

When asked if EA would be accepting advertisements for other political candidates, a representative told GamePolitics that they are willing to work with "credible political candidates, similar to a TV, radio or online channel," and that "the ads do not reflect any political policy for EA."
