Last week, Activision called us and were all like "Hey, we're going to be in San Francisco showing off the latest build of Prototype. Can you send someone out?" Unfortunately, all of our Bay Area writers were tied up. Ben said he had to wash his hair, which meant he had a hot date. Hamza said he had a hot date which meant he had to wash his hair.
So we didn't get a chance to see the latest and greatest from Prototype last week. But Activision was kind enough to send screenshots and a new trailer our way. After our San Francisco team sees these, they might be kicking themselves for not being able to make it -- it looks pretty damned awesome. New York City on the other hand looks utterly and totally f**ked, so I can understand why Activision wanted to show us the game on the West Coast.
The trailer you can see after the jump, and the gallery has some new screens as well as the game's box art. What do you think? Take it or leave it?
Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Yeah! Damn good trailer. I love his voice, its spot on. I wish to god that the voice actor for inFamous was different, but both games look like fun to play. I will for sure check out this one and infamous. Should be good.
I'm hopeful for this. The "web of intrigue" story intrigues me (for lack of a better word) and the gameplay so far looks solid. If I had a PS3, I would probably get both this and inFamous. But I need to decide before this comes out if I'm getting this on the console or on the PC. Play online with some friends, or let the great mod community of the world cook up some bad ass stuff?
I'm so excited about this game, but I'm also paranoid that they'll run it. Alone in the Dark had some amazing trailers and hype, and ended up being broken because of something as simple as shoddy controls.
I am REALLY hoping they don't get all the way and release it, only to have it stumble on something little like control or story or balance or something little and stupid.
Please please polish this game before releasing it. I really want it to succeed.
Lol, if Radical screws it up I am going to be so mad. They are saying crap about 750 different kinds of powers. I was watching their site when the clock set down to 0.... I was so pissed.
