Lou Ferrigno is cool as hell. The dude gets licked by cheetas on the regular. As for me, I'm probably about as cool as the guy in the wife beater seen hanging out behind Lou in this clip from Pumping Iron. They didn't hire me to work at Destructoid because I'm cool, they hired me because... Lou Ferrigno was unavailable? Really, that's my only guess.
Lou Ferrigno was just one of the amazing sites at this year's New York Comic Con. Probably the most astounding thing (that I didn't get on tape) was a horde of tween-age girls tweeting on their twitters while awaiting the arrival of some sexy bastard named Sho Sakurai. I can distinctly remember a day when the closest thing to "anime" you could find at a Comic Con was a bootleg VHS tape of Robotech (and the closest thing you could find to a girl was a bootleg copy of Heavy Metal: The Movie.) Times have certianly changed.
There were also a lot of amazing videogames at the show this year. I tried my best to catch 'em all on video, but I'm sure I missed a bunch. Let me know what you think in the comments, and don't be shy with the compliments. After what going toe-to-toe with Ferrigno has done to my ego, I'm in desperate need of some build up statements.
Jonathan Holmes is the most lovable Associate Editor on Destructoid. Catch him on videos, original editorials, and on back episodes of the Destructoid Show and MTV's Road Rules. Jonathan is a retro gamer's gamer.

Meet the rest of the team
This is by far the best video you guys have ever done. I laughed my ass off at the "that guy's from Star Wars" comment, along with all the little editing things (the split second slow-mo Madworld reaction chiefly among them).
'that guy is from star wars' to Hugging the suicide bomberman, to the uncool 'mutant' slip (at least i hope it was a slip)
Very very Cool man, please more videos
and why does it seem like all the workforce at the con are patronizing, they seem to be talking you through the games as if you were an idiot that has never held a wiimote..or am i getting the wrong vibe?
"That guy is from Star Wars! :O" You're awesome, man.
Madworld sounded confusing as hell, and your face didn't do much to stop my fears.
Also, X-Blades looked surprisingly nice. I guess I had just labeled it as shovelware in my mind. I'll be checking out videos on it right after writing this.
I can't even tell you how unsure I was about how this one would go over. The only thing that I knew for sure was good about this video was the music, which incidentally is from The Omega Man starring Charlton Heston.
@ SolidGoomba- Yeah, someone was selling fan art of Chibi Robo and the Prince of the Cosmos, and I really loved it. I too wish it was from a real game.
Why isn't Jonathan Holmes on the podcast? He should totally be on Podtoid! He great at doing video's like this one, and he likes to talk about games that the other people on the show would never talk about. And by that I mean games on the two Nintendo systems!
Destructoid is an open discussion community. You don't need to "audition" to post a comment - just speak your mind. We respect differing opinions on the site, so have at it. Be smart, funny, insightful, clueless, or cute -- but back it up with substance. Keep your cool, keep it fun. We only ask that you act respectfully and above all: don't be a troll and ruin it for everyone else. Don't bring down gamers or we'll, you know, gently shoot you in the face and stuff you into a flaming mailbox. Each comment is your opportuntity to make this community awesomer. Is that even a word?
Avoiding the banhammer only requires common sense: spamming, trolling, racism, NSFW stuff, and other forms of sucking will not be tolerated. If anyone is griefing please report abuse. Be good. Don't suck!
You look like Muhammad Ali.
And yes, I'll be that guy. MadWorld Booth Info Lady. ;D

Sorry to tease you like that.
