You just had to say it didn't you? Couldn't resist a good troll comment eh? You know damn well that isn't the reason you didn't buy one, you didn't buy one cuz your a broke buster and can't afford. Go get a job you hobo!
Even if you empty pocketed ass did manage to climb you ugly troll ass out from underneath the bridge and bum for quarters long enough to afford one, hobos don't have credit cards and PSN doesn't have a payment option for "hobo cup full of change" so this error wouldn't affect you anyway.
Seriously though, I have never encountered this issue and have had mine since 02/15.
At first launch of Media go I get "A network error has occurred (80860001/12057). It's been doing this for the last two weeks or maybe more. I have to refresh all the time to get the pages to load.
Saying you prefer to buy hardware a few months after release isnt a troll comment....however, pinning someone you dont know as poor is perfectly troll-ish.
Hopefully sony can save their reps the stress and get this little problem ironed out soon.
Only came across it once though and after that just waited till important things were finished before pressing the PS button.
I've had a couple of crashes in the Unit 13 demo and a couple on Fifa, no biggie though. Couple of hard resets here and there but what do you expect from a new piece of hardware!
Bring on the Firmwarez!

I've been talking with some guy from the UK on Twitter and he can confirm that it's happening with him as well, but in an entirely different way and an entirely different error. This time, it's happening on his PS3.
And to update people here, I attempted to purchase some PS3 games on my PS3 through the Store last night and, because of this issue, I'm unable to do so. I can confirm, however, that buying PlayStation Network cards will work... but that's not how impulse purchases work, Sony ;).
Though I was one of the people who had trouble with the Super Stardust Delta bundle. Just got my refund for that this morning.
Two great tastes, that taste great together?
Any way.. My roommate has downloaded a lot more then I have (which is to say I've downloaded nothing yet) and I don't think they've run into it. Only issue they've run into was the fact that things download so slow, but they figured out that downloads go MUCH faster when you directly link your PSV to your PC.
no problems after that
I CAN download demos and apps but the second I want to buy anything, I get locked out thanks to this error and it's really annoying me. It's equally annoying that Sony has yet to say anything about it.
So I guess I will now wait 24 hours and try again tomorrow. This is the dumbest policy to have and especially to not post clearly in bold letters on the FAQ. Nice horribly misleading error as well indicating problems with the network. WTG Sony!
