For most of the mods we see these days, I'm always left wondering why they even bothered. I do realize that many mods are done for the challenge, just to be able to say they pulled it off. But I've got no problems with the Nintoaster. There's just something about it that makes it seem really bad ass.

The Super Genintari dude is back. People gave him sh*t about his last console, saying it looked like a toaster. He comes back with a console mod that actually uses a toaster. This "Nintoaster" is exactly as it sounds: a NES stuffed inside a toaster. We have to give props for the faux heating element lighting and the "toast" on switch.

Be sure to check the Nintoaster project page at stupidfingers.com, as it details the construction of this unit in a much more serious way than the video did.

I say this is a fake. He didn't plug the yellow wire into his Toaster and the yellow wire is the one that actually carries the video feed. the other two are only for stereo sound.

You can actually use the colors for whatever the heck you want. The colors are meaningless, as they are all identical. He could be using red and white for video and mono sound.

Man I love that there are now officially people on the internet arguing as to whether or not this is real. Who has too much time on their hands? Toaster man? Or is it his detractors? Perhaps the dude who thinks he's clever and oh-so-elevated over it all by merely referring to it? All I know is EITHER WAY WE ALL LOSE WHEN SOMETHING LIKE THIS HAPPENS.

That is awesome. If I had any sort of mechanical skill or knowledge I'd try to do this myself. :D

I think the toaster would be better if it imprinted Mr. Destructoid onto the bread when it came out.

I've seen so many NES Mods lately and I can say that only 2 of them are better than this one: NES console fit in a NES controller and NES console fit in a NES cartridge.

Those red lights make this one looks fantastic, I want to build one for myself...

If it could toast bread while playing 'Mario 3' then it would be the greatest invention since sliced bread.

Does the inside of an NES really look that messy?

Anyone else notice the first toaster is black and the finished product is white?

Sorry, I don't want to associate myself with the "FAKEZORZ!" crowd, just saying I thought that was funny.

PS: If only he could still make toast while he played Nintendo
