I've never been less enthused about this product, and not since the PS3 launch have I felt more vitriol for a company failing at promoting their product.
Totally because of flash photography, it's hilarious though because it looks like the photographers were doing it on purpose.

I know you are joking :)...and ofcourse I don't think that people outside of Asia should be expected to tell the difference...but i can tell almost instantly. even without the cantonese in the video and the chinese characters, the girls' hairstyle is very much the current chinese fashion, and different from how japanese girls wear their hair these days..

The screen says "MOVE LEFT". That's a pretty simple request. This is a camera that tracks your body an if you're too close to someone else then it's understanable it will tell you to put some distance between you and your co-gamer.
To wish this tanks and makes a whole team of people unemployed because a dozy bunt doesn't understand "MOVE LEFT" is more than harsh.
Then again, I didn't even notice Kinect was in there... Or anything else for that matter...
BUT I guess saying they were japanese made want to watch the video. If the title was about chinese girls, i wouldn't be interested to click.

...it surpassed my expectations.
My point? There is no clear way to tell these girls are Chinese (etc) or not, because there are Japanese people that look like Chinese and vice versa. HELL, if black parents can have a white baby, then I'm sure there are many Japanese that look like Chinese (and so on).
If you lived in China or Japan before you would be able to tell them apart based on the hair style. It's like night and day to me...but I don't expect people outside of Asia to be able to tell the difference. Also, there was the cantonese language in the video and the chinese characters on the video...one of the girls name in chinese...etc.
I wouldn't throw the models out of the bed though.
