You have no idea how happy this makes me. Both this game and the fact that I helped get the story out.
I fucking love Cave Story. I cannot express my love without the use of expletives. The announcement of the game is what made me finally preorder the 3DS. Also, the concept art for the new Mimiga village is pretty awesome.

NICE!! although people will still bitch about "too many remakes on 3ds waaaahhhh boo-hoo" at least this is a game I don't mind playing again.
I've beaten the WiiWare version about three times, contemplating a fourth play through. I pretty much love Cave Story, I'll definitely buy this, especially with NIS publishing. I'm sure they'll stick something in there, perhaps a prinny? That image has to have meant something, plus I think prinnies wouldn't be too strange in the world of Cave Story.

I actually hate it when developers take the nice retro style and change the pixels into polygons, like in the New Super Mario Bros games. I'd rather download the original off DSiWare. In fact, I was planning on doing so. I hope the sequel to Cave Story retains the graphical style of the original.
I kind of agree with Fuzunga, as I'm a really big fan of retro-style graphics... but I dunno, maybe this could be really cool.

As soon as NIS released a picture of a prinny wearing the same outfit as Quote, I knew they were making a Cave Story related game. Yet another game to justify my purchase of a 3DS. (so far there's seven 3DS games that I want.)
