Noooo! Pangya art director SeeD dies of illness photo

SeeD, the art director for the Pangya series of golf games, has passed away from an unnamed illness.

The news first dropped on the Twitter feed of SeeD's friend, musical composer esti, who says that he'll write a memorial song for late friend. The Korean artist helped kick off the Pangya series with his designs, starting with the online games and most recently working on the PSP release, Fantasy Golf Pangya.

SeeD's designs were definitely the charm of the Pangya games, and one of the main appeals as far as I'm concerned. May he rest in peace.

Here's SeeD's gallery of fantastic art to browse through and remember him by.

Some of the pictures in the gallery have the word "New" next to them. It's kind of a morbid feeling that those are probably an artist's last work...

I never played any of the Pangya games outside of the Wii original. But I always liked the artwork. This really sucks...

esti is awesome though. DJ Max ftw.

Man, this is nasty. Pangya's one of the best looking free-to-play games there is, it's a horrible feeling to know the guy responsible is gone.

Truly unfortunate. That guy's got talent, and you're right, I bet a lot of the people who play Pangya were pulled in by the art style. RIP, SeeD.

I haven't played any of the Pangya games, but it's always sad to lose a good creative mind.

Rest in peace SeeD. :[

Although golf games are not my thing I have to say Pangya was cutesy and lovely to look at. As for his actual art, I tend to be drawn to that style of anime-ish drawings as well.

Wonderful artist. Scratch me down for never playing the games, but always wanting to because of the designs. I'm gonna miss seeing them when I browse shops.

Stay gold.
