Nokori: Nintendo's lineup continues to make me cry photo

Hopping back into the swing of things with Japanese news, the major CEDEC event is over, and those stories are impossibly long to translate. I haven't yet worked up to translating thousand-word documents yet. So for now, here are some easier stories:

First up we've got a little bit on the upcoming Disgaea spinoff Prinny: It's Alright if I'm the Hero, Dood?. Famitsu has given us a couple of screens that aren't anything new from the trailer you've already watched, but we do get a bit of story. Namely, that you're trying to fetch cake for Etna. Feel free to start the Portal jokes.

Our Survival Game Portable is a paintball title for the PSP coming out, which has you fighting through different areas in paintball matches (including against Nazis!). The graphics look horrible, but hey, Japan has to have its poor budget titles too. They can't always get RPGs, no matter how much they want them.

If that's got you in a bit of a downer, at least take solace in the fact that Tatsunoko vs. Capcom is going to be coming to the Wii. It's not a surprise, really, seeing as how Capcom tends to port everything everywhere over time. Of course, they're going to charge 7,340 yen for the game, but they know people will pay.

If you're still looking for Japanese titles besides Captain Rainbow to entice you into importing a Wii, look no further than Hula Wii. What do you do? Why, try and match the dancer's rhythm while you hold onto the Wiimote. The article I'm sourcing is actually for a promotional campaign for the game where they'll be having demos for it over by the Tokyo Dome. The game comes out on Halloween in Japan. Hey, at least you can use the Wii Fit board with this!

Alright, that's enough. I'm staring at my Wii with utter disdain right now because of that last story. Goodnight.

wii started off with a bang, and now it's holding steady at a whimper. What is the point these days? They have crap for games! Crap online experience! There's no point really...i'd buy one if i had a little kid though. Wii is perfect for kids 15 and under.

I'm sure these titles will sell millions and things like Mad World will sell terribly, par for the course for the Wii.

So glad I sold mine.

the Nintendo Wii is simply a machine to sit under the TV and attract dust. What plan Nintendo has in mind to do with all this dust is unclear, but I fear I've already uncovered too much....

But...But...But...the games are coming.....in 2009.
Oh man, I just can't wait.

I feel so bad for Wii-only owners. Why does the mainstream have to suffer like this? Why does this Gen's PS2 have to suffer like this?

1. Nintendo emphasizes cheap dev costs.
2. Every shovelware developer in the universe flocks to Wii.
3. ???
4. Profit... for Nintendo, at least.

Just because there are a bunch of horrible games on the Wii doesn't mean there aren't good ones. Getting rid of the Wii because of all the shovelware is foolish.

Warioland Shake it and de Blob just came out guys, that's good stuff right there.

@Kyousuke Nanbu
You don't want to play Madworld because it won't outsell Wii Play? Why not?

Wow someone with a real intelligent reply not just a moronic juvenile one like so many other people on here have. pedrovay2003 is exactly right why do you people focus on the shovelware shit on the Wii, and ignore it on every other system? Every systems gets shovelware especially the ones that are selling the most month after month.

This week the Wii has some great games coming out for it. Like WarioLand, de Blob, and Mega Man 9 on WiiWare there all great platformers that are getting great reviews. So instead of bitching about the Wii not having any games how about you go out, and actually buy the good ones that come along. Instead of ignoring them!

this is why I'm going to mod my wii. I Won't trow money at those crappy games, after I bought a ps3 I barely turn the damn thing on. Maybe if I mod it I can download some shitty "good for 15 minutes" games to play with my friends while we're drunk. damn. so much potential. fuck. I'm really frustrated.
