Also, my brother was in some the riot areas. He beat the shit out of some guy who tried to mug him.
Can movies do that? Not even cheese has that kind of power. Chew on that for a while, Roger Ebert.
But it is a bit ironic considering the fact that he and his brother are physically violent towards each other.
Next thing you know kids will be running around naked, fucking in the bushes
I actually wrote an article fairly recently considering this exact phenomenon and why gaming, though not directly to blame, needs to start diversifying its portrayal of violence as it becomes a more culturally important medium.
Oh hell.. what about stuff like Winnipeg's Bloody Sunday (in Canada) - that was back well before even TV was invented!
Oh, you're wrong aswell. Did I say you're got a fat head?
Considering the history of rock, this guy should have some sympathy for the games industry. I guess ignorance knows no bounds afterall.
Noel Gallagher is disappointed in you.
KEEP DOING WHATEVER YOU'RE DOING.
And remember, just because Violent games don't affect you, doesn't mean they don't affect English teens from broken families.
Nope, can't think of a single incident of mass violence against a random group of innocent people anywhere in history.
Not a single one before video games were invented.
It's all William Higenbotham's fault. He started all this.
I guess this counters the salient advice he gave to Radiohead that time.
"Just shut up about poverty and play Creep."
Alot of people who watch/ play brutal stuff get accustomed to it and in some extreme cases they eventually do not get bothered by it. I know this happens for a fact because when I was a 'hardcore' gamer I used to play alot of FPS games and after years of playing them it got to the point where I wasn't as bothered by brutal things (both in video games and in real life) than others.
Does this mean I believe all video games should be banned? Of course not. But you can't deny the fact that some people have violent tenancies due to playing violent video games (along with other causes, such as lack of aspirations, lack of rolemodels, etc.).
There is only one person to blame for the current state of the the world:
What kind of mad-man takes a sledge-hammer to a defenseless fruit...in front of millions of witnesses around the world(many of whom were impressionable children),no less?!
Wait a second... brutal TV... brutal games.. Brutal Legend? Jack Black is to blame, let us burn the chubby chap for killing the brains of our youth or some such bullshit.
Brutal.
