No seriously: MTV drops first info on 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand photo

Last night when I posted information about another 50 Cent videogame being in the works, you guys were all like "Shut up, really?" and "No, please God ... no!" Fair enough, but nothing can stop the impending release of Vivdendi Games' upcoming 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand. Nothing.

MTV News has beat Electronic Gaming Monthly to the punch and has revealed the first information on the upcoming Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game scheduled to hit this fall. Powered by the Unreal Engine 3 graphics tech, Blood on the Sand has a cooperative element not unlike Epic's Gears of War (one player will play as 50 Cent throughout). The game will have drop-in/drop-out play both online and off, and will feature original music by Mr. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson III himself.

More info and screens of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand can be found over at MTV News.com. Though if this game is as good as Michael Jackson's comeback single "Blood on the Dance Floor," then we're all in trouble.

On a side note, the content of 50 cent's songs appears to be "I'm rich, I got me some *insert brand name*, I got shot, I'm rich, got me some *insert another brand name*"

Before he was rich, did he just record 4 minutes of saying "I got shot 9 times" to a backing track?

I wonder about the developers who are working on this game with no remorse, and how they don't realize how detrimental this game is to the industry

So I guess they trained on the first game?

But yeah, EPIC FAIL, and all that.

Almost every single person commenting on this has entirely proved the point of what I was getting at in my first post, and that is that not a single one of you people has actually played the game, yet you're all making snap judgments based on how you feel about 50 Cent.

DrNutt:

If you think the premise of a rapper, playing himself as a character that goes around wasting international terrorists then there really is no help for you.

I hope this game goes for gritty realism and fiddy gets ventilated by the first 'insurgent' he sees.

I guess games reach just about every demographic these days, and why not I suppose. If they can make Wii fit for 70 year old grandmas, they can make gangsta games for 16 year old hoodies, wiggas with dreams and idiots who actually watch MTV and think thats how their lives should be. They are out there in big numbers, believe.

@Timmeh and everyone else who seems to be personally butt hurt that a game starring 50 Cent is published: I am NOT a fan of 50 Cent, repeat, not a fan of 50 Cent. I simply feel that the first game was decently entertaining for what it was, and miles ahead of most celebrity endorsed crap out there. The fact that so many of you are jumping all over it simply because of 50 Cent's involvement makes no sense. The premise is kind of stupid, yes, but how is it any more stupid than say, "The Club?" (Which, for the record, plays pretty damn similarly to the first 50 Cent game, minus the camera issues).

I don't like rap or the "thug" lifestyle or anything anymore than anyone else on this site, but I'm not going to make retarded assumptions about a game that not a single person on here has yet to play, because who knows, maybe despite the content, it could be still be a reasonably fun game.

And seriously, though there are shooters with decent stories (like Bioshock or Call of Duty 4) does the premise even matter? Any other game just plops you down and says "OH NOES ALIENS/TERRORISTS/COPS!!1" and lets you get to the shooting. Most shooters on the market have shit stories, this one seems to be no different.

U JUST LIKE KILLING HONKIES, M I RITE? LOL.

Seriously, judging from Gamerankings.com the first game sucks shit through a garden hose. Why people defend awful games is beyond me...

Maybe Nazi thugs like you should play games instead of burning them.

I actually enjoyed Bulletproof and even though the aiming was almost bad enough to kill the fun, it completely redeemed itself when Middle Eastern terrorists were brought into the equation at the very end. I can only hope Blood In The Sand is entirely compromised of WTF moments like that. And come on, 50 Cent has the physique to play a badass.

If it takes a Pursuit Force mentality towards the action, I'm buying it without question.
