In a lot of ways, it's kind of strange that Risk wasn't brought to Xbox LIVE Arcade in the early days of the service. I mean, a popular board game with seemingly low production costs that would likely go on to be highly profitable -- why the hell not?
But that's nothing; the fact that RISK: Factions is now happening, and its got a faction of war cats ... yeah, this situation has now shot straight off the WTF charts. This move to freshen up the classic look of Risk will undoubtedly make some of you die-hard players uncomfortable, but I'm willing to roll with it.
Developer Stainless Games surely could have done a perfect virtual recreation of the board game if the team wanted to, but where's the fun in that? Cats with guns and bandannas are the future, man. At this point, there's nothing I want more than to see what the other playable factions are.
