Then again, Suda is always changing his mind. Who knows that the hell we'll be getting out of him next, though a third No More heroes would definitely be appreciated. :)
And someone says he'd make one for a new Nintendo console...
and there are currently "No Plans" for a new Nintendo console.
All related, I reckon.
Maybe some sort of elaboration on the last few moments of NMH2 (taking place during ending to epilogue scene time space) would be the way to go. Although, Suda should only continue the series if he has a new fitting message within the game to deliver. Otherwise, I'd like to see what else the man has to offer.
But if ever a No More Heroes without Travis? Please, no.
Happy because it gives Suda a chance to work on something new and different. There just comes a time when you need to start working on something else especially before a franchise is subjected to being milked to death.
Besides, I'm always up for Suda's next crazy and stylish game concept.
Sad because NMH is an enjoyable franchise and not just because of its gameplay but also due to its story and characters.
I can still see No More Heroes taking on a spin-off like approach by featuring a new character or perhaps a side character such as Shinobu. Heck, how awesome would it be to have to face Travis as one of the top ranked UAA assassins in NMH 3 ?
After all, a part of the theme in NMH is the blessing and curse that comes with trying to be the best assassin around. To be the best means you have to lose a sense of your humanity by holding no value for human life because the role of an assassin is to kill or be killed. In addition, the lack of humanity in being an assassin also has an impact on your relationship with other characters. Of course, the other issue is that being an assasin means other assassins will try to hunt you down.
Travis didn't really learn this until the game's sequel. Being the best ultimately lost all meaning to him because the price to pay was too great.
I'm sure Suda and his dev team could come up with some more clever ideas for a potential NMH 3 story and give it meaning behind it despite Travis not serving as the main character.
But whatever, Suda51 is a goddamn genius and I'll love whatever he makes.
No More Heroes 3 if it comes will be next generation.
Another No More Heroes starring Travis isn't going to happen.
He's said this pretty clearly before guys. Now when every site is reporting his small comments from various interviews in tends to get mixed up and confusing.
Yes, let NMH rest for the next generation (HD ports are fine, though!).
Suda has several projects he can do (still holding him to that Silver Case remake for the DS), so just be excited he's still making stuff.
BTW, did NMH2 really didn't sell that well? If that's true, damn - I don't know what's with the world, but it makes glad there are people like him in the industry x10.
Doesnt have date because Ubisoft and Rising Star games doesnt want to bring the game to states or Europe
