No More Heroes, Muramasa, coming to Xbox 360/PS3? photo

It's being reported that Marvelous Entertainment is considering bringing its Wii games, including No More Heroes and Muramasa: The Demon Blade, to a console where they might get a tiny bit more appreciation, with ports to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Marvelous gave huge support to the Wii with a wide range of games, but so far hasn't been highly rewarded in the sales department. Now the publisher is looking toward the HD consoles -- first with an all new game called Rainy Woods, and second with a selection of ported Wii games.

None of this is confirmed, but Marvelous is certainly looking into it. I hope it's bloody true, as well. Muramasa especially doesn't need the waggle very much, and many people were hoping for a No More Heroes port when it first came out. Hopefully this happens soon. Let's face it, it can't hurt their sales any worse to try.

I'd buy the hell out of Murasama on PS3. I really want that damn game, so hard. In fact, Murasama is the ONLY reason I wish I had a Wii. Seriously, make it happen!

Nice Catch, Dr Undegarde. Glad to know myself and the people I mentioned on my post aren't the only ones who understand why "No More Heroes" isn't going to do any better on the "Hardcore" systems than it did on the Wii.

Guys, it's been three years. Get over it. Plenty of people buy the Wii, including "Hardcore" gamers. Are you really complaining that there is a system that has a larger audience than just 12-35 males?

Muramasa I can understand, but No More Heroes? I don't see that working out nicely.

I would wait for a graphically enhanced Muramasa on the 360/PS3 if it were confirmed. As for nmh, theres a good game hidden under the annoying waggle.

I know Muramasa only got so so reviews but I really wanted to play it so the possibility of it coming to the 360 sounds great to me. Now, if we could just get Sega to port Valkyria Chronicles over... actually, let's just port every game to the 360, that would be cool...

sounds good to me. I was interested in muramasa but not enough to buy it on my mom's wii. Had it been on PSN i probably would have. But i think this should really bring the question of why the Wii in the first place. It does have a higher install base but both the ps3/360 have better online functionality and probably more people acutally buying things from the online stores. Hopefully this lesson is well learned

Zack & Wiki's failure to do well only proves that it wasn't a wise move to offer a good game under a stupid name with kiddy appeal that was poorly marketed.

Okami's failure only proves that it was doomed to fail from the get-go. It bombed on the PS2 and on the Wii despite both having the largest install bases of last and current-gen platforms.

It would not be beneficial for Muramasas publisher and developer to spend the extra time and money to make the game HD. It just wouldn't be worth it. Besides, it doesn't matter how good looking a 2D retail game on a home console is when 2D games just aren't popular anymore.

I blame Ubisoft for its complete failure to promote NMH in North America. Although, its not like NMH would have sold significantly better anyway.

If Muramasa comes to the PS3 or the Wii, I will buy two copies.
