We've heard rumblings for some time now that No More Heroes could be making the Hi-Def jump. The latest issue of Famitsu has finally confirmed what we all have been hopping for! The original No More Heroes will indeed be hitting the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on February 25, 2010 in Japan.
A couple of scans of the latest Famitsu have been uploaded to the Internets showing off some of the new features for No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise. Better graphics, no motion control, Japanese voice acting and a new mode called "Very Sweet Mode" where the girls of No More Heroes wear next to nothing. Sweet!
What do you all think of this news? I'm pretty excited. The only way this news could get any better is if Heroes' Paradise gets released outside of Japan!

Hamza Aziz, Destructoid's Community Director, has been here since day one. He was born when a tiger coughed up a hairball into a pool of ooze. He was one of the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles before budget cuts. Hamza works as a previews editor and manages a team in San Francisco. To date he has given away tens of thousands of dollars in prizes to readers. What a dick. Actually, Hamza is as kind as he is hairy.

Meanwhile, I will be waiting for NMH2, and playing it on my wii, just as I did the first.
No more reason to own a Wii though.. I already traded in every game I've owned for it anyway..
Also, I wonder if they'll release an HD NMH 2 to coincide with the Wii release? It would be a bummer to go from playing HD NMH 1, then have to go back to the Wii for NMH 2.
Thats me having a heart attack and FLAT LINING! If this doesnt come out here you can better believe I'll be importing the sweeet... sweeet region free PS3 version...
I'll enjoy watching as one of my favorite games gets torn to shreds for being what it's supposed to be and selling next to nothing because it gets overlooked by generic fps #74, forcing Suda to lose a ton of money.
@Eggman
Oh yeah. Because it sold SO WELL on the Wii.
Then again, it fits Bad Girl's character.
One of the best Wii games makes it's way to the 360? You better believe I'm happy, can't wait for this to release.
I mean, you wouldn't believe the number of fanboys that tell me that NMH, "doesn't deserve to be on the Wii", that if it was sold on the 360/PS3 that "true gamers" would've appreciated it, and it would've sold 1 million copies thanks to the "hardcore" crowd that's apparently nonexistant among Wii owners.
Well fanboys, you got your wish, now let's see if you can live up to your 1 million sales claim.
Well, it's not like the game wasn't anything very special to begin with. It's quirky, but gameplay wise, it's nothing special. I kinda see this sharing the same fate as Brutal Legend.
I'd say this is more going to prove if taking motion controls out of a game enhances or destroys a game.
Please let this be released stateside so I don't have to import it. :D
I guess it's something I'm a bit curious about as well. Would all these niche Wii excluves like NMH and Muramasa sell better on, "better" consoles? I love Suda 51's games and I've wanted nothing but success for them, and if it turned out that he'd be wildly popular on other consoles, then so be it.
Also, cameltoes.
I really don't think they'd go very far. EGM did a great article in their last issue about how the 360 and PS3 gamers are PC gamers. Console gaming [a tight, defined experience, versus an open-ended, user controlled experience like Far Cry or GTA] is all but dead.
I love my 360, Wii, and PC, but the majority of 360 and PS3 gamers play Madden and Halo and have no idea that Gunstar Heroes was one of the best games ever released.
I do think games like Muramasa, No More Heroes and a few others would do better on the PS3/360.
They may not be runaway successes, but when you consider that Resident Evil 4 Wii and Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles were both outsold by Deca Sports and Party Games, you come to realize that the audience is just vastly different. It's why it boggles my mind that Capcom is more apt to listening to reasons why SF4 and RE5 should be on the Wii, and flat-out dismissing anything anyone says about putting Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the PS3/360.
To me, it's not an issue of a game "looking better", it's just that many of the people who have a Wii only buy it to play Wii Sports. It's a completely different beast.
Anatsu - why should I support something that he's doing that's blatantly against everything he's said and compromises his original vision of the game? I plan on buying No More Heroes 2 and saying hell no to this just to show that the Wii is where the series belong.
I'd like to see it in HD, though...
