I've never looked at hardware as "trolling", but, I honestly have to agree with you on the 3DS.

Honestly, I'd rather have this than Legends 3. I mean, I played the first two, and I don't know about y'all, but after I take off my nostalgia goggles, all I'm left with is a fairly ugly game with not the best control scheme, two things which I'm not terribly convinced would've translated well to the 3DS.
To be fair Jim, this is down to Capcom being a bunch of toilet donkeys and destroying anything that Inafune was working on rather than the 3DS's lack of a compelling line-up. They did the exact same thing with Mega Man Universe, they took it off their site and then shortly after cancelled the game. But it does beg the question, where are the 3DS games, Nintendo?
Not like I really need anymore games for the 3ds right now, but I'll do some more research on Wily's Revenge, but it's not even close to a compensation for Legends 3.

@scarlatch: The question is not about having more games, the question is: WHY? Seriously, they would know how this gonna piss off the fans of the legends series. It's the same thing Square is doing, give some hope and make it grow with trailers and future predictions and then, smash it like a butter-made-insect. I was with high hopes on Legends 3 since I'm waiting for a reboot, remake, sequel of it since my PSOne stopped working.
........... wow and for a second I thought nothing could curb my now seething hatred of Nintendo and Capcom, then this comes along.

It's gonna be a while before 4 and 5 hit. I just hope they have the good sense to skip the second game. Oh my God.

It's almost like they intentionally put out an inferior Mega Man re-release after they realized that the one everyone wanted was crap.

I...fail to see how this is Nintendo's fault...? It's not like they can choose which Megaman games to publish on their online store, unless I missed the announcement of them buying Capcom.
Why are people mentioning Nintendo? I never said Nintendo was at fault here. I joked that everything to do with the 3DS was a troll. Was Mega Man Legends 3 associated with the 3DS? Yes. Is Mega Man GB coming to VC? Yes. Hence, part of the troll joke.

Sorry there Jim, I didn't mean the news post, but some of the people commenting seem to imply Nintendo is the evil mastermind of behind all of this, and I just don't see it.
Besides, what do people expect, that Capcom doesn't publish ANY Megaman games on the VC because Legends is dead? They probably already had a schedule of releases in place, and Legends' fate had no effect on it.

I just looked at some screens of MML 1 and 2 (I've always ignored them before) and it looks like candy-colored bullshit and seems like something only an otaku nerd could like. I guess I better find a copy and give it a try so i can be smug with confidence. On Topic: I'm OK with this also
Capcom is really making some dumb moves recently, I wonder if its because they really dont understand their fans or just dont care.
For a company that depends so much on its former glory and keeping their fans happy so they buy the same rehashes every year, my mind boggles.
While im not into sports games like Madden or Fifa, but I like the way EA keep the fans happy by giving them what they want.

I recommend that ppl pass over this B&W crap and go and play the numerous PC fan games like Megaman 7 (&8) the 8bit version.Plus the numerous platformers to comeout of the doujin scene and play RosenkreuzStilette, Megamari and Touhou Yuuen Sekai are practically MM but with different sprites
Btw wasnt there a 3rd MM game in production, some kind of 2D sidescrolling MMO, has that been axed aswell?
