Though not sure if it would work for this.
Hmmm... maybe there's an achievement for that?
I tranqued a guard overlooking one of the bridges connecting the two Shells. As he fell asleep he leaned backwards and then forward, plummeting into the ocean below. My final kill count: 1.

I've not done a full no kill clear in any MGS game after that, but I always like to try until I get bored or frustrated. So, I'd try in Rising too.
Personally, I've never tried a no-kill run in any of the MGS games, although I'd imagine it'd be really fun and rewarding if you could pull it off. However, how the hell are you going to give me this fucking sword of doom and expect me to let guards live? It's like giving a kid the keys to Disneyworld and telling him he can't ride anything. Would try, though.
I'm glad to see they're sticking with the possibility of this type of gameplay.
Regardless, I doubt a no-kill is very realistic in Rising. Lining up your blade while being shot sounds like a receipe for death.
Without the tranq gun in Metal Gear Solid, I'm worthless. So I don't know how this will work out, but since its an action game and not a stealth action game, it might be easier.
Cool, but i'll do that on my second walkthrough :)
Here have this sex doll that will do all of your dirty deeds; however, if you don't use it you will get a medal.
fuuuuuck that.
So it's sort of how they decide to make the gameplay, how dense the enemy population is and how easy it is to screw up and hit the wrong button, lol.
Even so, I sense infuriating times on the Achievements department. There will be joystick-being-hurled-to-wall action to be sure...
