Jumping in videogames is destined to be an eternal struggle. Whether it's TimeSplitters or Bionic Commando, someone, somewhere, is going to get pissed off. I can't recall if there was a specific outcry for Rearmed 2, which happens to feature jumping, but if there was, here's a bit of pleasant news.
As reported by MTV Multiplayer, the game's Retro difficulty completely disables Spencer's ability to hop. So, for those who want the extra challenge (Crazy, all of you!), they can "stay true" to the series by sticking to the grapple move.
The fact that this is totally optional is great. Giving players more options is always the way to go.
