More options are the way to go, indeed. Too bad control schemes and HUD arrangements seem to get left out of this ethos with console game development.
Also, Spencer looks so tiny in that screenshot. Is it really that zoomed out?

No jumping in Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, if you want
Jumping in videogames is destined to be an eternal struggle. Whether it's TimeSplitters or Bionic Commando, someone, somewhere, is going to get pissed off. I can't recall if there was a specific outcry for Rearmed 2, which happens to feature jumping, but if there was, here's a bit of pleasant news. As reported by MTV Multiplayer, the game's Retro difficulty completely disables Spencer's ability to hop. So, for those who want the extra challenge (Crazy, all of you!), they can "stay true" to the series by sticking to the grapple move. The fact that this is totally optional is great. Giving players more options is always the way to go. 'Bionic Commando Rearmed 2' Removes Jumping For Retro Difficulty [MTV Multiplayer] Did you know? Legacy Comments (will be imported soon)Thats pretty cool, hopefully the level layouts reflect what mode you choose to play. Also, they better fix the music for this game because the last few videos hurt my ears. I knew that there was an achievement for no jumping, but the fact that you can just disable jumping entirely is even more awesome. Well done! I was about to start a petition to eliminate the ability to jump, I almost made a drawing too. Terrible, it'll make the levels rushed and weird, not tight like the first one, that and the lack of Super Joe... Ugh. That's pretty awesome. It's too bad that there isn't "Retro" and "Retro Hard." I wouldn't want to play the game on stupidly hard difficulty and still be able to jump, but have "Retro" be a cakewalk. I'm glad to hear this, because I had heard earlier that there was an Achievement for playing through the entire game without jumping, and I was worried that I'd try it but accidentally hit the jump button some time. I'm gonna rock the Retro difficulty right away. @Jordan Devore

Is it really that zoomed out? Like VashTS said, hopefully the level layouts are adjusted to accommodate the retro mode. In the debut video, some structures were unreachable unless you jumped. Meanwhile Sonic 4 forces you to use the him attacks throughout the entire game and gimps the hop and bop. 6:00 AM on 03.09.2013 Check out this sick 11-minute NES chiptune rock medleyGuitarist Psycho Crusher, whose amazing rock arrangements I've shared numerous times in the past, originally composed this latest jam with the intent to play it live as a full band.
