NIS announces Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days and Last Rebellion photo

NIS America dropped two new titles on us, and we're looking forward to getting our hands on both of them.

Of course, there's a Disgaea game. This time it's Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days. This is a new PSP version of the PlayStation 2 game Disgaea 2, and it adds new story chapters and a new main character to play as. "Conquer the world of level grinding," they say. I love Disgaea in portable form. Be on the lookout for that this fall.

A new RPG called Last Rebellion is coming to the PlayStation 3. They don't say much other than mentioning that this is a role-playing game with action elements. World exploration works like an action title, but when you battle, things go turn-based. We'll have to see more to make any calls on this, but more role-playing on the PS3 is definitely good news.

Check out new screens and art from both Disgaea 2: Dark Hero Days and Last Rebellion in our gallery below.

And while we're on NIS titles, I'm still pumped for both puzzle title Puchi Puchi Virus (DS) and the highly- anticipated otaku dream mash-up game Cross Edge (PS3) Both are on their way soon!

All of this and Sakura Wars? I love you, NIS America.

So much for me to *SQUEEE* over these past few days. NIS and Atlus are officially my favorite publishers.

mmmmmm...... are the screens with the red-coated guy from the PS3 game? 'cause if it is... graphically it sucks and what a boring interface, come on take a cue from valkyria chronicles (and i dont mean copy), the PS3 can do so much more, also, where's the 360 love?

Cross Edge came out 8 months ago in Japan and it's not meant to be very good :( Lots of fan service though, I enjoyed going on the website and seeing Etna in a kimono and a prinny costume ^_^

Disgaea 2 PSP was on Mainichi Issho a couple of months ago. Both Raspberyl from Disgaea 3 and Kuro are in the game!! :)

It's too bad that NISA is one of the worst publishers in their market. I wonder what hilarious typos and bugs they'll add to these games? Not that Idea Factory or Hitmaker need any help in that regard.

I -might- be interested in D2 if there's a Taro mode. If not, no dice. He was the only interesting character from D2, and I'm not willing to pay money for that game again unless they focus it on him.

I'm knee deep in Disgaea 3 for the PS3 right now. Loved 1, but I haven't played 2.

So now that they've perfect PSX graphics on the PS2/PSP, they need to perfect PS2 graphics on the PS3.

Even so, fuck yes for more PSP Disgaea.

Why must the characters always be midgets? Is it so hard to create normal body proportions?

I'm still grinding my way through the additional scenarios in Disgaea for PSP (after having beat the ps2 and psp main quest numerous times).

Can't wait to finally give Disgaea 2 a go in my preferred format; portable!!!

I've put over 300 hours into D2 on PS2. I had one guy that had a total lvl of 15000+ and I could deal 1.5million on average with him.

...and now I'm going to do it again.

i've seen bigger numbers on D3 though
