Nintendo says GTFO of here with your crap lawsuits photo

Well, the didn't say that specifically, but you know someone in their office has said that at some time or another. These poor guys and their waggle keep getting sued by other companies that think they thought of the idea first. And just like that curly-haired blonde kid that never got anywhere with these games, companies like Guardian Media Technologies are getting nowhere with saying that they came up with Waggle Tech first.

Nintendo proudly sends out a press release that basically says that they shot down another one. The U.S. District court judge granted an early dismissal for Guardian's patent infringement lawsuit.

“We are very pleased with the Court’s decision,” said Rick Flamm, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of Legal and general counsel. “Nintendo vigorously defends patent lawsuits. At the earliest stages of this case, Nintendo convinced the Court to dismiss this case as Guardian’s patent had nothing to do with Nintendo’s products.”

Perhaps one day someone will truly come along with something they genuinely invented that Nintendo stole. I know how that feels. To this day I maintain that I invented the whole caps on the internet equals yelling thing. No one believes me. Who do I sue?

A U.S. District Court judge has summarily dismissed a patent-infringement lawsuit against Nintendo brought by Guardian Media Technologies, Ltd. Guardian had alleged that the Wii console infringed on one of its patents (U.S. Patent No. 4,930,158). Judge Manuel Real of the U.S. District Court in Los Angeles entered an order granting Nintendo’s motion for summary judgment of non-infringement on June 8, 2009, less than six months after the lawsuit was filed.

I never thought I'd think the sentence "Hmmm, Ronald McDonald looks pretty sexy in that picture."

@ Harris Hatsworth

Ronald is apparently a big 2chan meme, along with KFC's Colonel Sanders.

It is strange, those patented "ideas" would never surface if it wasn't for Nintendo. We would not see such a product. There should be some balance protecting the little against the big, tho.

I knew it! I know where the image above came from. It's from a Livejournal Entry dated march 28, 2005 at http://miss-mcdonald.livejournal.com. That's where Miss Mcdonald is punching out Shaider, a Japanese srmored superhero.

There's one where She's a cannibal too, btw. :D

It's just a bunch of patent troll companies. They never intend to produce anything. Their profit stream stems from lots of vague patents which they level against firms to blackmail them.

Patent law is a strange thing.
