I would take Wii's WaW over some lame Kinect game.
Really, so you think Mario Kart Wii, New Super Mario Bros: Wii, Super Smash Bros.: Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Disney Epic Mickey, Super Paper Mario, Star Wars: Force Unleashed, Resident Evil 4, Rock Band, and Call of Duty: World at War are all crap?
Most of those games are the best reviewed games on any system and there all core games. So you just can't see them, over the casual game. People get mad because Just Dance sold millions, so the fact that all these good core games sold multimillions as well, its meaningless to them. Why? Who cares what games sells, as long as people are buying games, it help the entire industry grow!
I've kinda gotta agree that this list is crap, once you take out the mario, zelda, donkey kong samestuff for the past 30 years ur left with nothing but maybe epic mickey, res 4 (a remake + waggle) and the music games that are pointless because they come with their own controller makin the wii's gimmick useless.
Besides the core nintendo ips the wii is an absolute piece of garbage aimed at old people and children. A market on social security and $5 a week allowance for washing dishes.
Yes I would agree!
But I can apply that logic to any game!
YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO DO SOMETHING IN IT!
Like Push a button!
Tilt a stick!
Shake something!
Turn on a box!
AND SPEND MONEY!?! THE WORST OF IT!
Explain to me the actual differences, and tell me something anyone sane would care less about.
I don't think it's fair to say the best games on here don't count if Nintendo made it. Does it matter if the games are good? Saying "if this list wasn't what it is it would suck" doesn't make much sense to me. I'm not a big fan of the Wii, but I'll take Brawl over 90% of the games on other consoles.
Twilight Princess was also released for the Gamecube and was a launch title. I wonder how many GC copies it sold as well.
Your loss.
I love all the "kiddie and old people" shit being thrown around again. Its like everyone gets amnesia when it comes to nintendo. Everyone will continue to call the wii "kiddie shit" until the next console comes out, and then everyone will be on its dick... same with the gamecube, same with the N64. Its like fucking clockwork.
Just saying.
Compare that to a list of the best selling games on the PS3 or 360, which is pretty much dominated by action and horror titles, with a little Pixar or Billy Blanks stuff (like Little Big Planet and Dance Central) thrown in every once and a while, and you get a sense of how homogeneous the PS3's and 360's install bases are compared to the Wii's.
I wonder how many douches that say Nintendo releases the same stuff all the time have bought Call of Duty 2 1/2, 3, 4, 5, 6, etc, etc or Halo 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc, "
when Call of Duty and Halo are 25 years old and their publishers are still milking them, with very little change, come try again.
The ratio of exercise titles to other genres in the sample is pretty big, to no surprise with the motion controls on the Wii. The percentage of pure exercise genre titles is approx 34%. I sort of wonder whether someone could do a little research on what percentage of the titles (in the above sample) got an average rating of 8 out of 10 or higher. Well, I might post the findings later anyways. :)
I'm not really sure why you are putting the most innovative shooter in the same sentence as the shooter whose graphics and core gameplay mechanics have not changed in 4 years. Do you really play games?
