We get these lists of releases from the Japanese Nintendo site (PDF file) and see lots of stuff we already know. But there's always one or two head-turners. Nothing too exciting, but they're still worth going over.
Things of note:
- Where the hell is my new Fatal Frame?
- Japan gets 7th Dragon
- UK gets Endless Ocean 2 and Another Code 2
- We don't
- They're saying Spring/Summer for the DSi
- Rhythm Heaven still doesn't have a solid date
- Hanna Montana: The Movie -- f*ck yeah!
If this is a full through-summer list, then things are looking pretty slim from first-party Nintendo. That's pretty sad. Other than the new Punch-Out!!,
Wii Sports Resort is like the highlight of the first half of the year.

This lineup is shit.
If this is the complete list then the second half better be fucking amazing or Nintendo will severely need and deserve a huge kick in the balls.
Also their new strategy (that currently works in Japan), will be to remake all the GC games with now *drum roll* new Wii controls! WoW! YaY! Thank you Nintendo!
I also want Fatal Frame now. I'd import the Japanese one, but I'd like to be able to read what I'm playing.
I hope this isn't it, because it sucks. I said it Nintendo, I love you guys, but this sucks.
Also Amazon lists Rhythm Heaven as April 5th.
Fragile looks great, but after seeing it's debut sales, i'm not sure we'll get it in the US o_O.

Reggie and the guys at NoA are really missing Iwata's aim of audience. NCL at Japan is literally targeting everyone, "casual" and "core" alike, but NoA is doing the exact opposite, simply focusing on one single audience.
This is absolute lunacy (and reflects the dire situation) coming from me, but... it really does look like Nintendo of America has abandoned the "core" gamer.
Every post and article is full of negativity and snark. It's getting old. I assume this attitude is from the younger crowd, part of the internet generation and cell phone revolution.
Nintendo Wii is a great machine. I got PLENTY of games. I don't need 50 games a month, cuz i actually beat the games i play. I don't just jump on and play for 3 minutes and say i beat it, like most people that write for websites.
So, i dunno. just fuck off everybody.

And really, the VC as a strong point? Those are good games but they are OLD games, are you honestly satisfied with just VC games?

I don't see the big deal, isn't it good that some great third party games like MadWorld and The Conduit are coming out during this period? Nintendo gets slated by the media when its games shun third party games and when it doesn't.
