Nintendo reveals unsurprising DS/Wii Q1 2009 line-up for North America photo

Following in the footsteps of Nintend of Europe, the company's American cohorts have revealed their Nintendo DS and Wii Q1 2009 line-ups today. Not surprisingly, it doesn't much different than the European list we showed you earlier this week.

The Wii line-up is as expected, with games like Sega's Madworld (March) and Ubisoft's Tenchu: Shadow Assassins (February) making the Q1 cut. What is curious is that Nintendo's first-party Wii releases for Q1 are only the GameCube "remakes," New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis and New Play Control! Pikmin

On the handheld side of the things, Nintendo fills their quarterly Pokémans-quota with Pokémon Platinum dropping on February 16. Ubisoft will be releasing three more games in the Imagine series, as well as Petz Horseshoe Ranch which will finally bring the much-needed "horseshoe ranch" environment to Petz franchise.

The full lists broken down by console and publisher after the jump. What do you see that has you excited? Is there anything missing that you thought you'd see? I'm wondering just where in the hell Fatal Frame 4 is, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

I had no idea that Oneechanbara was coming to the Wii, but I'm still getting it for the 360.

I'm glad to see myself looking forward to some Nintendo titles in the coming months, like Madworld, Pokemon Platinum, and GTA.

well, definitely want to try madworld, and the pikmin remake is high on the list. i'll give tenchu a rent, even though i hate ubisoft games. and, i've been looking forward to gta ds, but i won't buy it until i get dsi. i'm tired of playing on the old phat.

Nothing on the Wii that even remotely interests me. I think now is a good time to sell. I am kind of interested in Chinatown Wars though.

Deer Drive, Jan.20! Awesome.
Super PickUps sounds sort of sleazy.
Retro Game Challenge is an autobuy.

Other than that, this list sucks.

Wii

Little King Story
Madworld
House of the Dead

DS

Moon
Grand Theft Auto™: Chinatown Wars

That should hold me over for a couple months. Do we really need thirty + great games to come out at once when many of us can't afford to even go out to eat anymore?

"What about the Conduit?"

Its a Q2 game now, so it will probably be out in May. Seeing as how most retailers have the Conduit coming out on May 19th for pre-orders. This list is just for Q1, so that's only Jan, Feb, and March.

Madworld comes out the same month of RE5. I see a conflict in interest coming up...
